Netflix and chill, we all know what that means… and if you don’t then you may be too young to be reading this.

Netflix dominates the online streaming sector, affording the company quite the following on social media. On December 6 Netflix decided to spice up their Twitter feed with a cheeky post, see below.

Traditionally, we would see brands keep as far from this as possible. But with 2020 around the corner and communication between companies and consumers being more open than ever before Netflix got RESPONSES. Oh and boy are they dirty.

So what can you say during sex but also when you manage a brand twitter account? Here are some of the witty responses by big brand names like Sephora, Animal Planet, Yelp and Groupon.

If you thought those were a bit below the belt (pun intended), then warning the next couple are dirty AF.  Pop-Tarts, we are SHOCKED…

Consumers are reading, consumers are SHOOK and consumers are laughing. Overall we would classify this as a fantastic piece of engaging social media content. On Twitter, no less – short, sweet and to the point.

Sometimes it pays off to take a little gamble and more often than not the best content incorporates a little bit of tongue and cheek (if that is what you are into). Just look at the bottom note on each of those screenshots, people are talking about this!!!!

So this silly season, we encourage our loyal readers to take a little risk with their content. Engage audiences with something they can’t stop reading and leverage other brands! Netflix’s one post resulted in over 122 thousand mentions (and this number will have grown in the time this blog is posted).

Happy netflix and chilling to all, I am off to Arby’s (craving meat).
